GCH Todorhaus Stetson
Todorhaus Stetson was bred by Sharon Todoroff and was owned together with Brenda Ogren. Sharon and Brenda have been friends for over 30 years. Stetson lived with Brenda in the State of Washington and she competed extensively with him in the Northwest United States, Alaska, Canada and throughout the country. On one of their competition trips to Canada, Stetson in 6 shows won 6 group 1’s, 2 Best In Shows, and 2 Reserve Best In Shows. Stetson won over 100 Best of Breed in competition with many Best in Group wins. He was invited to compete in the famous Westminster Dog Show. As an international competitor, Todorhaus Stetson's Hips and Elbows were certified in Canada at the University of Ontario. His hips have also been certified in the United States by the Orthopedic Foundation of America as "Good."
Because the lines of French's German Shepherds bred with the lines Todorhaus German Shepherds have produced great dogs, Sharon Todoroff offered me access to her dogs and frozen semen collected on some of the great dogs her kennel has produced. Simply based on viewing pictures of Stetson without even knowing or researching his pedigree, his career, or even knowing he was a Grand Champion, or learning about his proven progeny; I requested a breeding from him. I did not even know his age, that he had passed in 2016. However with modern technology and frozen semen, it makes no difference, successful breedings and litters can still occur.

Among his progeny, Stetson sired a female
puppy school children referred to as
"Little Bear." She was a service dog for
school children with learning challenges
and disabilities. "Little Bear" was
placed with a teacher and helped kids
having reading difficulties. She went to
school everyday and helped school
children learn. He has sired show pups,
pets, and all around great dogs! Brenda
still has 2 of Stetson's daughters, Bling and
Lily. Stetson is a proven producer of Champions
and Grand Champions. Bling is
his daughter and Lily is his grand
daughter and are pictured below.

showing, working or performing in an

We first met Sharon Clark Todoroff of Todorhaus German Shepherds while traveling to the 2015 German Shepherd Dog Club of America (GSDCA) Nationals. The (GSDCA) Nationals were held at Purina Farms near St. Louis, Missouri. Sharon is an ethical breeder and we have common views about the German Shepherd Dog Breed. Sharon breeds German Shepherd Dogs for sound temperament, good health and longevity, and to be able to do what this breed is for - WORK. Sharon only uses dogs in their breeding program that are Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) certified. Sharon breeds dogs for what she terms, "The Total Package." Many of the Todorhaus dogs have been in service work, police work, obedience, herding, agility etc. She breeds for dogs that can accomplish the many disciplines in the German Shepherd Dog world. Additionally, Sharon is an American Kennel Club (AKC) Breeder of Merit! Todorhaus German Shepherds has predominantly American lines, but occasionally breeds to SV German lines and mixed American Lines and German Lines as mine. Her dogs are known for conformation and also work in herding, agility, and tracking. Sharon also donates dogs to the Service Community.
